Eazivo Family ("Eazivo Family," "we," "us") is a shared calendar and household organization app for families. This policy explains what information the app collects, how it's used, and the choices you have. It applies to the Eazivo Family mobile app and this website.
The short version
Eazivo Family stores the household data you and your family enter — calendar events, chores, goals, shopping lists, meal plans, and medication schedules — so it can be shared across your household's devices. We don't sell your data, and we don't show ads. A handful of well-known services (listed below) help power specific features; each only receives what that feature needs to work.
Information you provide
- Account information: your email address and display name, when you sign in with email/password, Google, or Apple.
- Household & family member profiles: names, colors, avatars, birthdays, favorite foods, allergies, and similar details for each household member. An adult household member typically sets these up on behalf of children, since dependents don't sign in themselves.
- Calendar, chores, goals, shopping, meal, budget, and travel entries: whatever you create in the app, shared with the other members of your household.
- Medication information: medication names, dosages, schedules, and the doses you log. This is health-related information — it's visible only to your household's members and is never used for advertising.
- Wait list sign-up (this website): if you join the wait list, we store the email address you enter, which form and page language you used, your browser's language setting and when you signed up. We use it only to tell you when the app launches, and we delete it on request.
- Photos you choose to attach: for example, a photo of a product when contributing it to the shared shopping-product database, or a photo you upload for a recipe.
Information collected automatically
- Device calendar (optional): with your permission, the app can read events from calendars already synced to your device (e.g. Google, Microsoft, or Apple calendars) so they can appear alongside your household calendar. This is read-only — Eazivo Family doesn't modify your other calendars.
- Photo library (optional): with your permission, the Wall display mode's screensaver can show a slideshow from an album on that device. Those photos are read directly from the device and are not uploaded anywhere.
- Camera (optional): used only to scan a product barcode for the shopping list. No photo or video is captured or stored from this unless you separately choose to attach a photo (see above).
- Location (optional): approximate location, used only to show local weather in the Good Morning briefing and Wall screensaver. It isn't stored against your account or used for any other purpose.
- Push notification token: a device identifier used to deliver notifications you've enabled.
Services we use to run the app
These providers process a limited slice of data, only for the feature it supports:
| Service | What it's used for | What it receives |
|---|---|---|
| Google Firebase | Account sign-in, database, backend functions, hosting | Your account and household data, described above |
| Google Sign-In / Sign in with Apple | Optional sign-in methods | Whatever profile info you grant access to (typically name and email) |
| Open-Meteo | Weather in the Good Morning briefing and screensaver | Approximate location coordinates — no account or API key involved |
| Open Food Facts | Looking up a product from a scanned barcode | The barcode you scanned — this is a public, open database |
| Anthropic (Claude) | Parsing a recipe you paste in or photograph into structured ingredients/steps | The recipe text or photo you submit for that request |
| Resend | Sending household invite emails | The invitee's email address and the invite details |
| Spotify | Optional remote playback control on the Wall display | Playback controls, only if you choose to connect your Spotify account |
How your information is shared
Data you add is shared with the other members of your own household — that's the point of a shared family calendar. We don't sell your information, and we don't share it with third parties for their own marketing. We may disclose information if required by law, or to protect the safety of our users.
Children's information
Eazivo Family is intended for use by a family's adult members. Children's profiles (name, birthday, goals, chores, etc.) are created and managed by a parent or guardian — children don't create their own accounts or sign in. If you're a parent and have questions about a child's profile, contact us at the email below.
Data retention and deletion
We keep your household's data for as long as your account is active. To delete your account or a household's data, email us at the address below — we'll confirm the request and complete it within a reasonable time.
Your choices
- Calendar, photo library, camera, and location permissions can all be turned off at any time in your device's Settings — the related feature simply won't work without them.
- Notifications can be disabled in your device's Settings.
- You can ask us to access, correct, export, or delete your information by emailing us.
Changes to this policy
If we make material changes to this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you in the app.
